Min y Don, Llandudno – A Seaside Tradition, Carried Forward

Min y Don is more than just a guest house—it’s a piece of Llandudno’s living history. Nestled on the town’s iconic promenade, this Victorian building has welcomed visitors to the coast for generations, each one adding their own story to its walls. Its name, Welsh for “Edge of the Wave,” perfectly captures the spirit of this beautiful seaside setting.

We’re proud to be the current custodians of Min y Don, having taken over in 2018. As a family-run guest house, we’ve embraced its long-standing tradition of warm hospitality while gently updating the space to ensure a comfortable, relaxed experience for today’s travellers.

Meet the hosts

Our hosts are passionate about sharing the magic of Llandudno, ensuring every guest feels at home and connected to its rich coastal heritage. Helping to run the show are our three four-legged team members: the boss who keeps everyone in line, our ever-cheerful front-of-house greeter, and our loyal head of security who keeps a watchful eye on things (and the biscuit tin). At Min y Don, hospitality comes with heart, history, and a healthy dose of humour—plus the occasional paw-print.
